I believe this is a picture of the 50th anniversary of the Golden Gate bridge in May 1986. They closed traffic and let people walk over it, apparently, they didn’t think it would be such a big deal. There were so many people on the bridge that the middle span of the bridge flattened out. My mom told me that there were people stuck on the bridge for 3+ hours :o
